Non Uchiha massacre drabble
After Sakura marries Sasuke and more Uchihas begin to use her as their medic at least half the clan starts wearing glasses.
Them prideful bastards needed glasses long before Sakura came around but that infamous Uchiha pride once again stopped them.
Sakura called bullshit.
"ITACHI YOU ARE ALMOST LEGALLY BLIND! WEAR YOUR DAMN GLASSES!"
"Fugaku I don't care if your clan head. When it comes to your health I outrank you as your doctor. And I outrank every other medic in this village so don't think changing your doctor will do anything."
"WELL MAYBE YOU WOULDN'T RUN INTO THINGS SHISUI IF YOU WORE THE RIGHT FUCKING PRESCRIPTION!"
"Mikoto your eyesight is actually good, just don't overuse the sharingan."
Sakura groaned as she flopped into bed. Sasuke looked up from his scroll, adjusting his reading glasses.
"Darling I don't know how your clan isn't running into evey wall and table in this compound."
Sasuke chuckeled rubbing his wife's pregnant belly. "Watch our little one will be your toughest battle when it comes to wearing their glasses."
Sakura huffed. "And I'll win that battle too."

⚰️ + Rhys and Sal
@blind-mutant
is more likely to kill someone
Sal tbh. Rhys is likely but Sal's explosions are incredibly reactive so baby goes boom I guess.
only threatens to kill someone but won’t actually go that far
Rhys? He's probably had to do it once or twice since he's been wondering about by himself longer.
freaks out and who stays perfectly calm and collected
Rhys freaks out but Sal's just passed out at the sight of blood so poor boy just trying to get Sal away before he wakes up and passes out again at the sight of Ryys covered in blood.
provides the utensils to help get rid of the body
Sal gets all kinda stuff out to try and do anything to get the body away.
comes up with the hiding place for the body
Sal since he's more familiar with the city and can actually see places to hide the body with properly.
watches out that nobody witnesses them getting rid of the body
Sal again since evey time he sees the body he pukes so groaning and clutching the wall while Rhys drags the corpse.
hides the body and murder weapon
Rhys does both and tbh this is probably when he can fully get protective of Sal without being fought back.
knows the right people to deal with this
Sal and Rhys since everyone at Eden's would be happy to help them out.
isn’t doing this for the first time
Both since Rhys has the doctors and Blue while Sal has Cecil. I'm not too sure what Rhys did with Blue's body but Sal just being a crying thirteen year old as he drags the ragged remains to a beach and tries to bury them.
will cave in and eventually call the police
Both these boys say fuck police!! Tho for the sake of the question its probably Rhys at the very least.
puts the blame on themself to save the other
Both do but Sal tries to dominate Rhys in the argument to take the blame and refuses a no unless Rhys forces back tbh.
is the better liar
Sal! Its his living after all.

#the trick here is actually getting the doctor to test you first#i had to fight tooth and nail to even get a doctor to consider a lyme test#including getting mocked infront of family#having to saitch practices#wait over a month for test results#it was a nightmare#and now my doctor doesnt even include that ive had lyne on mg chart even tho i still have multiple complications from it#and a weakend immune system#its wonderful to feel like an imposter every i go to the doctor because they also disbleive i had lyme#but i have copy of the freaking postitive test results and fucked up body after fighting to get help to prove it#i also teach lyme education now and my story isnt the only story like this#everyone ive met through the program i work with and my parner have gone through atleast some for of denial or backlash from doctors#i contantly have tick id cards and brosures about my program on me now because i dont with for thia to happen to anyone else via @sojourntime
yep that's unfortunately the standard experience. and since my lyme posting is actually getting notes I'm gonna add a few crucial things
DO NOT WAIT UNTIL YOU GET A RASH. not every case starts with one. remove the tick safely (you can buy little plastic tools for that really cheap and you should carry them on you if you go camping or hiking in the woods. the reason it's important to do it properly, is that if you damage or squeeze, or suffocate the tick, you will push the bacteria into your body. then send the tick for testing. you'll have to check what the guidelines for that are near you, but you're usually asked to put it in a ziplock or jar. if it comes back positive, get on antibiotics immediately. you can cure lyme with a few weeks of antibiotics if you start immediately.
lyme can lay dormant for years or decades after infection, then appear out of nowhere, sometimes triggered by some changes in your body. for my mom it was pregnancy, for me puberty. I only had a tick once in my life, when i was 3, and while i was always an inexplicably sickly child, the recognizable lyme symptoms only started a decade later. they can include joint pain, a weak immune system (I've had a runny nose for over a decade, and i'm sick at least once a month), spots in your vision, chronic fatigue and brain fog, memory loss and countless others.
if you have most of them and doctors can't find a cause, and you've ever had a tick, you should get tested. and here's where the problems start. because of a combination of this being a really resilient and hard to detect bacteria and big pharma machinations, the most commonly available tests (western blot and elisa) aren't very accurate, false negatives are common, especially if it's been years since you were infected. More accurate tests like elispot or ltt are horrendously expensive, but worth doing if you've tried everything else.
now, it gets worse. chronic lyme isn't widely recognized. I've had doctors tell me it doesn't exist to my face, my mother had to fight ten years to get anyone to believe she was sick, before someone finally suggested testing for lyme. It is very likely that after having tested positive, your doctor will prescribe you 3 weeks of one antibiotic and wash their hands of the problem. this will most likely not be enough, if you've had it for a couple of years. you'll need several antibiotics, on different dosages and times, to eliminate evey stage of the bacteria's lifecycle. For me it took 9 months. for my mother, 3 years, then a few more a decade later. it is a nightmare on the body, and I'm sorry if you'll have to go through it, or have gone through it. you'll need countless other medications and supplements (probiotics etc) to keep your intestines and liver from giving out, and a good doctor should prescribe them for you, but it helps to do your own research
To find a good doctor search for ILADS and your area, they're the society who created that method and do most of the research surrounding chronic lyme.
There are herbs that are supprisingly effective as treatment, sometimes with fewer side effects than antibiotics, and they might be a better option if your symptoms are mild. They kept me going between treatments. I hesitate to recommend specifics because 1. I am not a medical professional and 2. It's been years since i did any reading on them, and like i mentioned, memory loss. do your own research, and try to keep to scientific sources. with a disease like this it's easy to fall down the alternative medicine rabbit hole and start doing things that don't work or are actively dangerous (never ever drink essential oils)
There is new research being done into disulfiram (a medication used to treat alcoholism) as treatment for lyme, but very few doctors currently prescribe it. Again, you'll have to do your own research on that one and most likely befriend a doctor who's willing to work and learn with you. I took it for a few months when i had my most recent severe flareup, and it does help. some clinics use it in combination with antibiotics and get great results, my mother now tests entirely negative, after that treatment. there are way fewer side effects than with antibiotics (but not none, you can't drink or you'll die, and you need to take certain vitamins and minerals to minimize the risk of neuropathy). and there can be dangerous interactions with other drugs, (I can't take it anymore since i started treatment for my adhd). but it's certainly an option to look into if for example you can't take antibiotics because of allergies or digestive issues
That's it for now. like i said, this is just a start. you can always message me with any questions, and I'll do my best to share my experience or at least send you in the right direction, but i am not a doctor. diagnosis is only the first step on the nighmarish journey to recovery. good luck
you can make posts that are anti lawns and pro biodiversity without downplaying the real, terrible danger that ticks pose
